Welcome to Explore The Night! All of the photographs on this site have been solely shot by myself, in either total darkness or under moonlight. I like to use long exposures ranging from 2 - 60 minutes which allows me to light my subjects and capture the movement of the stars.

All of the surreal lighting effects have been created by using coloured lighting gels, covering the end of my flashgun or torch. I like to keep my pictures as real as possible whilst stretching artistic boundarys, so i try to keep the photoshopping to the minimum, so what you see is virtually what the camera saw.
